In 2018, the Mosinee Sportsmen’s Alliance (MSA) collaborated with the Scholastic Clay Target Program (SCTP) and the Mosinee School District to join the Great Northern Conference (GNC) in Trap Shooting, a shotgun shooting sport. Additional teams in the GNC include Stevens Point (SPASH), Wausau Skeet & Trap (Wausau Schools), Antigo, Merrill, Tomahawk, Lakeland, Rhinelander, Medford, and Eagle River.

About the Mosinee Trap Team
Shooters in grades 5 through college, living in the Mosinee area, are invited to participate.
Practice Information
The athletes are required to have four practice rounds completed before the beginning of the season with League shooting beginning the first week in April. Practice dates are announced at the Mandatory Athlete/Parent Meeting in January/February.
League Information
Athletes shoot each week (once per week, on one of two defined days) through the beginning of June. Most shoots are completed virtually at the Mosinee Sportsmen’s Alliance, 214105 County Rd B, Mosinee, with a final face-to-face Conference match with date/location to be announced. The team will also compete the State SCTP shoot in Rome, WI at the WTA Homegrounds in June. Opportunities exist to participate in various shoots throughout the state and at Nationals at Marengo, Ohio. SCTP is also a funnel for the Olympic team and there are opportunities to participate in camps.
